In technology class, the students of 7S applied what they were learning about coding on the computer to cup stacking.  On December 14th, the students worked in small groups and took turns being the programmers and robots.  The programmers wrote an algorithm to program their “robot” to create a cup tower of their choice.  The robot tried to recreate the cup tower using only the programmers’ code and debugged it to fix any mistakes, if necessary.  The students challenged themselves by using loops to create the tallest tower possible with the least amount of steps.

Seventh and eighth grade students gave time to a worthy cause this month, visiting the Bradley Food Pantry to help unload donations and bag and box foods for distribution. Students are working to gain community service hours for the school’s new chapter of the National Junior Honor Society.
